Start of route:
Agioi Anargyroi
End of route:
Asomatos
Distance:
5,2 km

Moving northward from Agioi Anargyroi, the route crosses the Andriotis River and continues parallel to it, slightly higher up, through the olive grove. After the chapel of Agioi Konstantinos and Eleni, it reaches Nychanta, where there used to be an Ottoman settlement. A few houses and the baths have been preserved. On the asphalt road is the old water-powered olive mill, where the trail intersects with the Agiaos-Asomatos-Karini hiking trail. The trail leads us directly to Asomatos, along a traditional cobblestone road. The village stands high among the olive groves, clean and traditional, with stone-built houses, cobbled streets, and hospitable residents.

The route starts from the Stavri neighborhood of Agiasos and descends along a traditional cobblestone road, the well-known "patoumeni," heading northeast. The lowest point of the route is in the Karini area, which is also a good place to stop for running water and a coffee at the café with its historic plane tree and mural by the famous folk painter on the outside wall. The suggested route then moves south and east on a path towards the area of "Nychanta," a small valley with an old water-powered olive mill and a ruined settlement, where hikers can stop again to fill up with drinking water from a traditional fountain. From Nychanta, the hiker continues south and uphill on a path (a few meters on a municipal road), where they come to the settlement of Asomato, which is also a good place to stop for running water and cafes. The last part of the route from the settlement of Asomato to Agiasos follows a narrow cobbled path "The Theophrastus Nature Trail," a narrow path that occasionally reveals traces of an old beaten track, running through a dense chestnut forest. The circular route ends at Stavri in Agiasos.
